With great excitement, the Coronado Community Foundation (CCF) Board of Directors announces that Michelle Gilmore will join the organization as its first CEO on September 1, 2024. “Michelle has served on our Advisory Council since its inception and has been a sounding board, a valued source of advice, and a cheerleader for CCF since we launched in 2021,” said Board Chair Helen Kupka, adding, “I have no doubts she will take CCF to new heights.”
Previously CEO of the Coronado Schools Foundation (CSF), Gilmore’s leadership has had a profound impact. The team she built leaves CSF in strong financial and organizational condition. “I am delighted to step into the role of CEO at the Coronado Community Foundation. I am passionate about advancing our mission through strategic philanthropic efforts, whether it’s bolstering nonprofits in need of additional funding or launching innovative initiatives to address key community needs. I look forward to collaborating with the board and making a meaningful impact together,” said Gilmore.
As the first CEO of CCF, Gilmore is eager to build upon its successes and will continue to connect, convene and collaborate across sectors for a thriving Coronado. ”Having worked with CCF on the replacement of the audio-visual equipment in the performing arts center and their sponsorship of our student art auction, I’m confident CCF will continue to be a powerful resource for the community,” offers Gilmore.
