Roundtable Kicks Off

Coronado's Nonprofit leaders gather for the kick-off Roundtable on Wednesday, March 26th at Feast & Fareway.

In January of this year, the Coronado Community Foundation extended an invitation to the Executive Directors, CEOs, and Board Presidents of Coronado’s nonprofit organizations to attend the two-day Nonprofit Leadership Summit and Governance Symposium. From this successful initiative, the idea emerged to bring nonprofit leaders together regularly for scheduled roundtable discussions. On Wednesday, March 26th, we held the inaugural gathering of Coronado nonprofit leaders, and it was a resounding success. Sixteen participants, representing fourteen organizations, attended, while others who couldn’t join expressed strong interest in future meetings. We plan to continue hosting these sessions on a quarterly basis. This kick-off meeting, held at Feast and Fareway, was designed to foster connections, share the goals of each organization, and brainstorm ways to make the most of future gatherings. It was truly exciting to witness the enthusiasm for information-sharing and collaboration among the attendees. With our focus this year aimed at building community, I feel like this is certainly something that will continue and bring value to our nonprofits and our Coronado neighbors and friends.
