A Message from Michelle: My First 60 Days with Coronado Community Foundation
In my first 60 days as CEO of the Coronado Community Foundation, I’ve embarked on a "Listen & Learn" journey—a tour filled with meaningful conversations and invaluable insights. I’ve had the privilege of connecting with local media, fellow nonprofit leaders, city officials, and community members who have all graciously offered me their time, their perspectives, and, above all, their passion for Coronado. These interactions have been instrumental in shaping our goals for the coming year and have underscored a common, cherished mission: strengthening connections within our community and preserving the Coronado we all love.
One step toward realizing this vision is our recently launched Community Priorities Survey. This survey invites you—our neighbors and fellow community members—to share your thoughts on three key focus areas for the Foundation:
1. Community Health and Wellness: Supporting senior care, military-connected family resources, and connecting families with special needs.
2. Arts and Culture: Celebrating our local arts scene—music, performing arts, and events that bring our community together.
3. Preservation and Enhancement: Investing in projects that maintain and enhance the beauty and charm that define Coronado.
Your feedback will help us determine where to focus our efforts and funding in the upcoming year. I warmly invite you to take a moment to participate in the survey (click here) and help us align our initiatives with the community’s most cherished values. Together, let’s continue to make Coronado a place where everyone feels connected and valued.
With gratitude,
Michelle
